Connecticut Childbirth & Women's Center — Establishment and health at 94 Locust Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut.

I had a wonderful experience delivery at the center almost 2 years ago. My son ended up in the NICU 3 days after being born due to jaundice and the midwife who delivered came to the hospital to check on us. All the midwives I saw through my pregnancy took the time to answer any questions.

My daughter just called me crying and upset about her visit with a very rude midwife. She is due in 10 weeks, we are hoping she can now have a home birth. Every visit, except for 1 has been a very negative experience for my daughter. This is her first baby, she is very intelligent, but they talk to her as though she should know everything about having a baby and timing of visits etc. like she is being negligent for not knowing all this. They ask questions, that if they looked at her file, would provide the answers that they seem so focused on for the visit, they don't provide a caring attitude at all, except for one midwife at an earlier visit, that she really liked because she seemed to care for my daughter and her experience in birthing first baby. I would not refer anyone to this place unless a big change in attitudes are apparent and consistent.
